Terms of Service
These terms set the ground rules for using MindMirror, including what the service is, what paid plans mean, what content rights stay with you, and where we need stronger limits to protect the product and its users.
What MindMirror is
A continuity-based AI reflection service designed to help you think, return to a thread later, and review what is changing over time.
What you agree not to do
Do not misuse the service, break the law, harm others, abuse access controls, scrape or reverse engineer the product, or upload content you have no right to use.
How plans work
Free and paid tiers may differ. Recurring subscriptions renew until canceled, are billed in advance, and are generally non-refundable except where law requires otherwise.
Effective Date: April 2, 2026
This summary is for convenience only. Please read the full terms below.
1. Acceptance of these Terms
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern your use of MindMirror AI LLC, MindMirror, and related websites, apps, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, buying a plan, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
2. What MindMirror is and is not
MindMirror is an AI-assisted continuity-based reflection product. It is designed to help you start with a real thought, return to the same thread later, and review what is changing over time.
MindMirror is not a therapist, medical provider, legal advisor, financial advisor, emergency service, or crisis service. Do not rely on the Service for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other high-stakes decisions.
If you may harm yourself or others, or if you are in immediate danger, do not rely on MindMirror. Contact local emergency services or a qualified crisis resource immediately.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using MindMirror, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.
4. Your account
- Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Protect your account credentials and device access.
- You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account, including activity by someone who uses your credentials or device with your permission or because you failed to keep them secure.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised or used without authorization.
5. Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
- Do not use the Service in violation of law or regulation.
- Do not use the Service to harass, exploit, threaten, defraud, impersonate, or harm others.
- Do not submit content you do not have the right to use, including another person's confidential, personal, or proprietary information without permission or another lawful basis.
- Do not use the Service to create, facilitate, or promote malware, phishing, scams, non-consensual sexual content, child sexual abuse material, violent threats, or other clearly abusive content.
- Do not probe, scan, disable, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Service, its models, its security measures, or its usage limits except to the extent that such a restriction is prohibited by law.
- Do not use automated means to access the Service in a way that burdens or degrades the experience for other users.
- Do not use outputs from MindMirror as if they were verified facts, professional advice, or an official statement by another person or organization.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the reflections, prompts, messages, files, and other content you submit to MindMirror ("User Content").
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, reproduce, modify, transmit, display, and create derivative materials from your User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, improve, and provide the Service to you and other users, including by generating summaries, continuity artifacts, reminders, and review surfaces consistent with your settings and our Privacy Policy.
This license ends when your User Content is deleted from the Service, except to the extent the content has already been incorporated into backups, logs, legal records, or other retained materials that we may lawfully keep for limited periods.
7. Feedback
If you send us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, or other feedback, you grant us a non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free license to use that feedback for any lawful purpose without compensation or obligation to you. This does not give us ownership of your private reflection content beyond the rights described above.
8. AI features and output
- MindMirror uses automated systems and third-party AI providers to generate responses and continuity features.
- Outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, overly confident, generic, delayed, or otherwise unsuited to your situation.
- You are responsible for reviewing outputs and using your own judgment before acting on them.
- The Service may not always remember, retrieve, or prioritize prior context the way you expect. Continuity features are tools, not guarantees.
9. Paid plans, billing, cancellation, and refunds
MindMirror may offer free and paid plans. Features, limits, and pricing may differ by tier.
If you purchase a recurring subscription, you authorize us or our billing provider to charge the applicable fees, taxes, and other disclosed charges on a recurring basis until you cancel. Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period.
You may cancel a subscription before the next renewal date to stop future charges. Unless we expressly state otherwise, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period and does not retroactively refund the period already paid for.
Fees are billed in advance and are generally non-refundable except where required by law, where we expressly offer a refund, or where a third-party platform's mandatory refund rules apply.
We may change pricing or plan structure prospectively. If we do, the change will apply only after notice and on a future billing period, unless law requires a different process.
10. Service changes, availability, and beta features
We may add, remove, suspend, or change features, including AI models, continuity logic, pricing, limits, or interfaces. We do not guarantee that every feature or plan will remain available forever.
Some features may be marked experimental, preview, or beta. Those features may change more quickly, may be less reliable, and may be discontinued without notice.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, restrict features, or close your account if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for other users, exposed the Service to legal or security harm, failed to pay applicable fees, or used the Service in a way that could cause harm or liability.
Termination or suspension does not limit any rights or remedies available to us under law or equity.
12. Our intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, visual elements, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property and other laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of the Service or any right to use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials except as necessary for ordinary permitted use of the Service.
13. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, quiet enjoyment, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.
We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that outputs will be accurate, useful, or appropriate for your goals.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MindMirror and its officers, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, goodwill, data, or use, arising out of or related to the Service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of: (a) the total amount you paid to us for the Service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100 USD.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MindMirror and its officers, employees, affiliates, contractors, licensors, and service providers from and against claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or related to your User Content, your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
16. Informal dispute process
Before filing a formal legal claim, you agree to first contact us at contact@mindmirrorapp.ai with a written description of the issue and your requested resolution, and to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. This section does not prevent either party from seeking emergency equitable relief or using a court that lawfully handles small-claims matters.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we may provide additional notice when appropriate or required by law. The updated Terms will show a new effective date. By continuing to use the Service after the updated Terms become effective, you agree to the revised Terms.
18. Contact
Questions about these Terms, legal notices, and dispute notices may be sent to contact@mindmirrorapp.ai.
